1. IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE TO THE FARM? No. Just turn up & have fun. You can purchase alpaca food when you arrive for $3 or book a specific alpaca experience online before you arrive to ensure you don't miss out. 2. CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR DRINKS? Unfortunately no. The alpaca farm is located within O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards which is a fully licenced premises.They do however have amazing picnic baskets & pizzas available every day of the week, plus a full menu including kids meals from Friday-Sunday each week. You can however bring a birthday cake if you are ordering food. 3. IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT TO WALK AN ALPACA? Kids and toddlers of any age can come along and enjoy the alpacas. Kids under the age of 16 must be acompanied by an adult and under constant adult supervision whilst enjoying the alpaca experiences. We have specific rules for walking the alpacas and parents are responsible for the actions and sefety of all children during the period of your experience. 4. DO WE HAVE TO BOOK PER PERSON? No. There is a limit of 2-3 people per alpaca. Alpacas are herd animals and walk better if with another alpaca. Also alpacas can get agitated by themselves with large groups of people so if you are coming in a larger goup contact us via email first. Each booking is "per alpaca" or "per deal" not per person. 5. WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR WALKING AN ALPACA? Check our Terms & Conditions page here for all of the rules for alpaca experiences. Knowing these rules will ensure you have a great time and are able to start your experience in a timely manner. 6. HOW DO I BOOK AN ALPACA EXPERIENCE? Simply go to our "Book Now" page and select the type of experience you would like to book. You will then be directed to a booking page where you can select the number of alpacas you would like plus any additional ad-ons, then select the date & time for your booking. You can then modify your booking if things change up to 3hrs before your scheduled appointment. 7. HOW DO THE BOOKING TIMES WORK?
When you book an experience or deal, the booking time is the START TIME for your alpacas. So for example if you book a 12pm picnic deal, you get the 2 alpacas for 12.00pm-12.30pm then you can have your picnic afterwards for as long as you like until closing time. If you choose a later appointment time you are welcome to arrive 1-2hrs early to have your pizza or picnic beforehand. PLEASE ARRIVE 10-15mins EARLY TO PICK UP YOUR ALPACA FOOD AND RECEIVE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ALPACA EXPERIENCES SO YOU CAN THEN START ON TIME. 8. WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE MY BOOKING? Once you have booked your alpaca experience online, you have full control over modifying the booking up to 3hrs prior to your booking time. You will receive a booking confirmation via email with links to modify your booking if needed. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 3HR RE-BOOKING REQUIREMENT. You need to modify your booking no later than 3hrs before your appointment time to re-book. Otherwise you will forfeit your booking. If you cannot get online in time call us on 0490 973 865 to modify over the phone. If you need to cancel your booking, call 0490 973 865 to speak to one of our staff between 11am & 3pm. Cancellation fees apply: 2-7 days notice 10% of booking total. 24-48hrs notice 25% of booking total. Less than 24hrs notice: 50% of booking total. Less than 3hrs notice: 100% of booking total. 9. WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS? We are happy to rescedule your booking in wet weather, however you are also still able to walk the alpacas if you bring wet weather gear. There are also complimentary umbrellas at the vineyard to borrow. The alpacas don't mind the rain. It doesn't affect them at all (except they don't look quite so fluffy!) Please contact us by phone on the morning of your appointment or simply re-schedule your booking online. 10. DO I HAVE TO BOOK OR CAN I JUST TURN UP?
You are welcome to just turn up during our business hours and purchase an alpaca experience or a feed bag at any time. However on weekends and holidays we often get booked out, so if you know when you are coming and can choose a time, then you will be guaranteed of getting an alpaca experience! Some experiences like picnics and pizza deals are only available for online bookings. 11. CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted within the vineyard grounds. 12. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE VINEYARD PICNIC BASKETS?

Margerita, Vegetarian, Pepperoni, Ham & Pineapple, Supreme, Spicy Cajun Chicken. > Download Pizza Menu 14. WHAT FOOD IS AVAILABLE IN THE VINEYARD? Mon-Sun: Pizzas & Picnic Hampers Fri-Sun: Pizzas, picnic hampers, hot food such as pies, chicken nuggets, fisherman's basket. (Please note... changes may be in place due to COVID-19 restrictions. If in doubt, contact the vineyard on 07 5543 4011). There is also coffee, tea, cold drinks, wine and beer available every day. 15. CAN I ORDER FOOD OR DRINKS ON THE DAY WITHOUT PRE-BOOKING?
Yes you can! Even if you have ordered an alpaca pizza or picnic deal, you can still order extra food and drinks on the day, including a bottle of wine. 16. WHAT IF I HAVE AN EXTRA CHILD OR ADULT?
If you are booking a pizza or picnic deal there is an option to add an extra child basket, adult basket or pizza to your booking. Or alternatively just order on the day when you arrive. 17. DO YOU HAVE GLUTEN FREE, VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN OPTIONS?
FOR PIZZAS: WE HAVE VEGETARIAN OPTION ONLY FOR PICNIC BASKETS: WE HAVE GLUTEN FREE, VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN OPTIONS. To select the gluten free, vegetarian or vegan picnic basket options mke your selection on the panel of "add-ons" which you will find on the booking page. For the vegetarian pizzas, simply just order margherita or vegetarian on the day with your pizza voucher which will be supplied on arrival. PLEASE NOTE, FOR VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN PICNICS HAMPERS, YOU NEED TO ORDER THESE AT LEAST 24hrs AHEAD SO THEY CAN BE SPECIALLY PREPARED. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN OPTIONS IF ORDERED LESS THAN 24hrs FROM YOUR BOOKING TIME. 18. IS WINE INCLUDED IN THE PIZZA OR PICNIC DEAL?
No. Wine is not include,. but you can purchase it when picking up your food as there are many different wines and beers to choose from so you will need to see them first. 19. WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE?
If you are running later for your booking please contact us prefereably by text to 0490 973 865 stating your name, booking time and how late you are going to be. We will then see if we can swap your appointment to the next time slot. If we have no availability at the alternate time slots you will simply receive the balance of the time you have left in the time slot allocated to you - hence you will lose the time you have missed. 20. DO ALPACAS SPIT? YES! Alpacas are part of the Camelid family (which includes camels and llamas) and they all spit! Alpacas don't usually spit at you on purpose. They spit at each other as a sign of dominance and competitive nature when being fed. However sometimes the spit can travel in all directions! Makes for a laugh and a memorable day! 21. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ALPACA AND A LLAMA? Gee. We never hear this question (MUCH!!) Well it starts with size. The llamas can be almost twice as heavy and much taller than alpacas. They can actually bear weight on their backs as they are much stronger than alpacas. Alpacas are smaller, cuter, fluffier & more posh! Plus make for better selfies and cuddles! Not to mention their fleece is a million times nicer which is mostly why they are farmed here in Australia (for shearing). The alpaca fibre in South America is known as "The Fibre of the Gods"!
